Craftsman hands working on a handcrafted wooden display in a warm rustic workshop

Behind The Craftsman

People often ask me what I create. Some say I build gun racks. Others see sword displays, quilt racks, music displays, and custom pieces. They're all correct.

But they're not the whole story.

The wood is only the beginning. Every display begins with a conversation...

A father remembered. A grandmother's music. A soldier's service. A Sensei's teaching. A fishing trip that will never happen again, yet somehow still does - each time someone pauses in front of a treasured keepsake.

Creating is part of being human.

We create with our hands. With our minds.

With our words. With our love.

I simply chose wood as my language.

Because if a handcrafted display encourages one child to ask,

"Whose was that?"

Then the conversation begins again. And for a little while... The memory lives once more. Perhaps that's what I've been building all along. Not displays. Not shelves. Not racks.

Perhaps I've simply been trying...

...to recreate memories.
